Business 1: What would be the most difficult technique in this book so far for you to learn how to do well? Why?

In my opinion, the most difficult technique to learn from Carnegie’s book so far is persuading people. I bet that many of you are in the same position as me.

Some of the reasons of why I’m not good at persuading is because, I’m afraid that I’ll lose the argument. I’m also afraid of not being able to find the right words instantly when someones waiting for an answer. Even if things don’t go the way as I planned I’m as well as afraid of not knowing what to do next. It’s not just trying to persuade people when this happens. Many things in life require expectancy, knowing what’s to come next, being prepared, saying the right words, and listening carefully to the other people. In life we are expected of that, but many don’t do this, afraid to do it, or don’t know how to do it.

That’s why I always make a plan before even starting anything. It’s good to always come prepared. A good way to get prepared before persuading someone is to 1. Practice on someone or 2. Talk to yourself as if persuading someone and making sure you have said everything that you wanted to say. It’s like practicing a speech but talking to someone face to face. Also making a plan will get you organized, making things clear, and you have an idea of how to roll thanks to the plan.

I have learned that I shouldn’t be afraid when persuading someone. I should always think positive in difficult things and be confident in my message to that person. Instead of being afraid I should just keep practicing and having faith in every word I speak. Even if I reach to the point where I don’t know what to say, remember don’t panic, slow down (breathe) and listen to the other person carefully maybe you will find a different route of how to overcome this persons idea or saying. Also remember ” To every problem there is a solution ” that’s my quote for you to take away from this essay.

I hope you enjoyed this essay. I’m pretty sure a lot of you have the same problem as me here with persuading people. Nonetheless, THANKS for reading and sticking around with me. I’ll post more soon and have a great rest of your day! 😁😊
