Hello my dear reader and welcome back to my school essays! I hope you find today’s topic entertaining and/or informative, without further ado let’s begin!
As someone who has decided not to attend college, I can say that there are many things that I could do with the money that my parents plan to spend on my education. While some people might see college as a necessary step on the path to success, I believe that there are many other paths that can be just as rewarding.
One argument against going to college is that it can be a costly and time-consuming process that may not necessarily lead to success. Many college graduates are burdened with student loan debt that can take years or even decades to pay off, and some find themselves struggling to find meaningful employment in their chosen field.
Additionally, some people argue that there are alternative paths to success that don’t require a college education. For example, starting a business or pursuing a trade can be just as lucrative and rewarding as attending college. These paths may require different skills and experiences, but they can be just as viable as a college degree. Don’t even get me started with the elephant in the room the student loan debt which is absolutely horrible and soo many people have problems with it and struggle to live comfortably afterwards. I personally choose to avoid debt completely, so the student loans is out of the question, and therefore I’m strongly against it!
If I were to receive half of the money that my parents plan to spend on my college education, there are many things that I could do with it. For example, I could invest it in starting a small business or in pursuing a trade that I am passionate about. I could also use the money to travel and to gain new experiences and perspectives that would help me to grow as a person. I also dream of going on mission trips, because I love helping people and it genuinely brings me joy without receiving anything in return. I can not only grow more as a person, but be spiritually fulfilled as well!
Hypothetically speaking of course, if (IF!) I did decide to attend college, I would want to make sure that I used the money wisely. Rather than simply spending it on tuition and fees, I would want to invest it in alternative things that would help me to build a successful career. For example, I might use the money to start my own business, to fund an internship or apprenticeship, or to take courses in a specialized field that would give me a competitive edge in the job market. Actually certain kinds of courses to get myself a good job is exactly what I plan to do right after high school!
In conclusion, while some people might see college as a necessary step on the path to success, I believe that there are many other paths that can be just as worth it. If I were to receive half of the money that my parents plan to spend on my college education, I would use it wisely to pursue alternative paths to success or to invest in specialized education or experiences that would give me a competitive edge in the job market.
